Kosport Magazine: L’Jarius Sneed Excited for New Challenges with Titans
Earlier this offseason, L’Jarius Sneed made headlines when he signed a four-year, $76.4 million contract with the Tennessee Titans. The former Kansas City Chiefs cornerback was highly sought after in free agency and ultimately landed with the Titans, where he will face new challenges and opportunities for growth.
Sneed, who spent the first four years of his career with the Chiefs, was considered the top cornerback on the market. He was franchise-tagged by Kansas City and given permission to seek a trade, which led to his eventual signing with the Titans. Now, he is excited to practice against two of the league’s top wide receivers, DeAndre Hopkins and Calvin Ridley, on a daily basis.
“To get out there and work with those elite wide receivers, I never had two guys like them, going up against them every day,” Sneed said in a recent interview with Kosport Magazine. “I had great players, but these two guys are household names. I can’t wait to get to work with them and learn from them.”
Sneed also expressed his eagerness to pick the brains of Hopkins and Ridley, and to improve his game with their insights. He believes that practicing against such talented receivers will make him a better player and help him reach his full potential.
While Sneed did have the opportunity to play with Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce in Kansas City, he was not a starter for most of his time with the team. This means that his experience with Hopkins and Ridley will be different and more beneficial for his development as a player.
But it’s not just the on-field challenges that excite Sneed. He is also looking forward to the change in culture and coaching staff with the Titans. After playing for a team that won back-to-back Super Bowls, Sneed is ready for a new challenge with a team that has missed the playoffs in recent years.
“Once I realized where I was headed to, I was excited,” Sneed said. ”It’s a new culture, and that’s something I love is change. I love growing, whatever aspect that is in life, I love change and I love to grow.”
Kosport Magazine: A New Culture and Opportunities for Growth
The Titans underwent significant changes this offseason, including hiring former Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan as their new head coach and Dennard Wilson as their defensive coordinator. This means that Sneed will be going from one of the most experienced head coach-defensive coordinator combinations in the league to one of the least.
But for Sneed, this is just another opportunity for growth and development. He is excited for the new challenges and is ready to embrace the change in culture and coaching staff.
As he begins this new chapter with the Titans, Sneed is determined to continue improving and making a name for himself in the league. And with the support of his new team and the opportunity to practice against top talent every day, there’s no doubt that he will thrive in his new environment.
