The Feud Between Brendan Allen and Marvin Vettori Continues to Heat Up
The rivalry between Brendan Allen and Marvin Vettori has been brewing for quite some time now, and it seems like it’s only getting more intense. The two were supposed to face off at UFC Vegas 90, but Vettori withdrew due to an injury, leaving Allen to face Chris Curtis on short notice. Despite avenging his previous loss to Curtis, Allen couldn’t help but take a few shots at Vettori during the post-fight press conference.
Allen Calls Vettori “Irrelevant” and “Old News”
After his win over Curtis, Allen didn’t hold back when it came to his thoughts on Vettori. He called him “irrelevant” and “old news,” stating that Vettori can’t even make it to a fight. Allen also pointed out that Vettori only seems to want to talk when there are people in between them, and that he’s not worried about the Italian fighter.
Allen’s Impressive Win Streak and Confidence in His Abilities
With his win over Curtis, Allen has now secured seven straight victories, with his last four coming by way of submission. He’s climbed up the rankings since his previous loss to Curtis and is confident that he can defeat whoever holds the middleweight belt. Allen also expects to continue climbing the charts, even without having fought the higher-ranked Vettori.
Vettori’s Notable Wins and Previous Title Shot
While Vettori may have alternated wins and losses in his past six fights, he holds notable wins over Roman Dolidze, Paulo Costa, and Jack Hermansson. He also previously challenged Israel Adesanya for the middleweight title, solidifying himself as a top contender in the division.
Allen Challenges Vettori to “Keep the Same Energy”
Despite Vettori’s accomplishments and taunts, Allen remains unfazed. He challenges Vettori to “keep the same energy” when they see each other in person, stating that Vettori has had multiple chances to fight him but has backed out. Allen also makes it clear that he’s not one to back down from a confrontation.
The Feud Continues to Escalate
The feud between Brendan Allen and Marvin Vettori shows no signs of slowing down. While they may not have faced off in the cage yet, their war of words and confrontations outside of it only add fuel to the fire. Will these two ever settle their differences in the Octagon? Only time will tell.
