Taila⁣ Santos Gets New‌ Opponent for PFL Debut

Kosport Magazine – One-time UFC title challenger Taila Santos will be facing a new opponent for her Professional Fighters League⁤ (PFL) ⁣debut. ⁤The promotion announced on Tuesday that Bellator veteran Denise Kielholtz had to withdraw from the fight, and Santos will now⁤ be facing another Bellator veteran, Ilara Joanne, ⁣in her opening regular season matchup at PFL San Antonio ⁤on April 4.

The event will​ feature‌ the heavyweight and ‌women’s flyweight divisions,​ with fighters vying for a chance at the world title and a $1 million ⁢grand prize.

In addition ⁤to Santos’ new opponent, former World Series of Fighting heavyweight‍ champion Blagoy Ivanov will be ⁤making⁢ his return to the now revamped PFL after ⁤an eight-fight stint in the UFC. Ivanov will be stepping in for 2023 finalist ‌Bruno Cappelozza to face Sergei Bilostenniy in⁤ a​ regular-season bout.

Unfortunately, the scheduled bout between Kaytlin Neil ⁣and Veta Arteaga has been cancelled, but the event will now feature a bantamweight showcase between Ty Johnson and Bryce Meredith.

PFL San Antonio will be headlined by a heavyweight clash between Ante Delija and Valentin Moldavsky.
