Should Nagelsmann Rest Key Players Now That Germany Have Qualified?
Germany have secured their spot in Euro 2024, but should coach Julian Nagelsmann use this opportunity to rest key players in the upcoming matches?
On one hand, giving players a break could prevent them from getting injured and keep them fresh for the knockout stages. On the other hand, it could also disrupt the team’s rhythm and chemistry on the field.
One thing is for sure, Nagelsmann has a tough decision to make. But let’s take a look at what other players have been doing with their time on the pitch.
In their thrilling 2-2 draw against Croatia, Albania’s Jasir Asani caught our attention not only with his assist but also with his unique footwear. Asani wore custom Super Mario Bros.-themed boots, with each foot featuring a different character from the popular video game.
Meanwhile, other players like Austria’s Romano Schmid and Spain’s Lamine Yamal have been adding personal touches to their boots, with Schmid sporting his initials and Yamal displaying his heritage by including the flags of Morocco and Equatorial Guinea.
But not everyone feels the need to switch up their style. Germany’s Toni Kroos has been wearing the same model of boots for the past decade, and it seems to be working for him as he continues to dominate on the field.
