Hamilton’s Support for Marquez’s “Awesome” Ducati MotoGP Shift

Marquez joins Ducati in fresh challenge

After 12 seasons with Repsol Honda, six-time MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez is making a bold move to Ducati. Like Lewis Hamilton’s recent signing with Ferrari in Formula 1, Marquez is ready for a new challenge and a fresh start with an Italian team.

At 31 years old, Marquez has severed ties with Honda one year before his contract expires. This comes after a decline in the Japanese manufacturer’s performance and a string of injuries that have plagued Marquez’s career. However, he has shown immense determination and resilience, bouncing back from each setback.

Now, Marquez has joined the satellite Ducati team, Gresini Racing, where he has impressed and remained healthy. His impressive performance has earned him a spot on the factory team for the 2025 season, where he will face off against two-time champion Francesco Bagnaia.

Kosport Magazine’s Take

We at Kosport Magazine are excited to see Marquez back in top form and on such an iconic team. It takes a special athlete to make such a bold move after staying with one team for so long. But we believe this change of environment and new challenges will only further Marquez’s success in the sport.

Even Hamilton, a huge MotoGP fan himself, is looking forward to seeing Marquez on that Ducati bike. He believes it’s a great move for the sport and is eager to watch the Spanish rider in action.

With his talent and determination, we have no doubt that Marques will thrive at Ducati and continue to add to his impressive collection of world titles.

Hamilton, who himself is eyeing a final roll of the dice in his quest to move clear on eight F1 world titles, is a huge MotoGP fan and says he cannot wait to see the Spanish rider get back to his best riding for such an iconic team.

He said: “That’s awesome, he’s incredible. I love MotoGP, and really excited for the future of the sport as well.

“I think that they’ll be learning a lot from what has happened with Liberty and Formula 1 over the past years. And there’s a lot of growth that will happen. But the racing is amazing.

“And then to see Marquez on that Ducati, it’s gonna be cool. I mean, Ducati has always been such a cool bike.

“I think from an athlete’s perspective, and from a rider or driver’s perspective…

“It’s maybe some of you, maybe in a job for a long, long time, it’s great to have something new, a new environment, new desk, new people to work with, and new challenges.

“And there’s nerves. There’s all these things that you are unsure of, in the sense that you don’t know how you going to blend in the environment, for example.

“But that’s exciting. And it’s great when you’re welcomed into a new space. So yeah, I think it’s really cool. I can’t wait to see him now on that bike.”

Kosport Magazine looks forward to seeing Marquez continue to push the boundaries, both on and off the track. This move to Ducati will surely bring even more excitement to an already thrilling sport.
