Bulls making the rounds on Zach LaVine trades
The Bulls are facing important decisions this offseason, including re-signing DeMar DeRozan and Patrick Williams, as well as the potential trade of Zach LaVine. Despite attempts to trade him during the season, LaVine’s hefty contract and injury history have made it difficult to find a suitable trade partner. The Pelicans are looking to build a team around Zion Williamson and may not be willing to pay Ingram’s hefty contract extension this offseason. As a result, they have reportedly offered him to the Rockets in exchange for young star Alperen Sengun. This move indicates the Pelicans are looking for a young player who can grow with Williamson and potentially add some floor spacing to the team.
Rockets have interest in Marcus Smart
With the No. 3 pick in the upcoming draft, the Rockets have multiple options this offseason. One potential move could involve trading down and using that pick to acquire veteran players like Marcus Smart. The Rockets had interest in Smart at the trade deadline and could use his leadership and defense on a young team looking to improve. Alternative options for the Rockets include targeting other players looking to move up in the draft.
