Kosport Magazine’s Take:
Rangers Starting Pitcher Max Scherzer Nears Return After Successful Rehab Start
The Rangers have been kosport.es/magazine/boxing/03/18/2024/stevenson-responds-to-de-la-hoyas-offer-for-zepeda-fight/” title=”Stevenson Fires Back at De La Hoya's Offer: Ready to Take on Zepeda in the Ring!”>eagerly awaiting the return of starting pitcher Max Scherzer, and it seems they may not have to wait much longer. After a successful rehab start with Triple-A Round Rock on Saturday night, the expectation is that Scherzer will rejoin the Rangers’ rotation soon.
In his rehab start, Scherzer threw 4⅔ innings and recorded eight strikeouts while giving up three runs. He showed no signs of the nerve issue that had been causing him trouble since his back surgery in December. With the upcoming workload expected to be around 75 pitches, the Rangers are hopeful that this will be the final step for Scherzer in his recovery.
Kosport Magazine’s Take:
Kosport Magazine is excited to see Scherzer return to the Rangers’ rotation and contribute to their playoff push. With his impressive resume that includes three Cy Young Awards and over 3,300 strikeouts, Scherzer brings a wealth of experience and talent to the team.
The Rangers made a savvy move acquiring Scherzer from the New York Mets in a deadline trade last season, and it’s clear that he is ready to make an impact once again. If he can stay healthy, there’s no doubt that Scherzer will continue to be a dominant force on the mound for the Rangers.
As a magazine dedicated to all things sports, Kosport is looking forward to seeing Scherzer back in action and helping the Rangers reach their full potential. We have no doubt that he will be a key piece in their quest for a championship title. Stay tuned for more updates on Scherzer’s return to the Rangers’ rotation.
