White Sox Activate Bryan Ramos from Injured List
The Chicago White Sox have activated top prospect Bryan Ramos from the 10-day injured list, adding some much-needed firepower to their lineup. Jimenez, who was hitting .321 with a homer in his last eight games before landing on the IL, suffered a strained left hamstring while scoring from second during a game against the Toronto Blue Jays. This setback will keep Jimenez off the field for four to six weeks, yet another frustrating injury for him and the White Sox.
“When I was almost scoring, I felt it. I said, ‘Not again.’ That was my reaction. But I said, ‘I’m not going to sit here and be sorry for myself. I’m just going to work hard.’ I know one day I’m going to find the answer to this. This is going to be just a bad dream, a nightmare,” Jimenez said.
Jimenez, who hit 31 homers and drove in 79 runs in 2019, has not been able to live up to his potential due to a long list of injuries. In 2023, he missed time with a left hamstring strain and then had an emergency appendectomy. In 2022, he only played in 84 games due to a right hamstring injury.
