Roach Jr.: The Fearless Leader Ready to Lead Washington’s Rising Stars to Victory

Lamont Roach Jr. Leads the Way for NoXcuses Boxing Gym

Kosport Magazine – Lamont Roach Jr. is not just a WBA junior lightweight titleholder, he is also a mentor and leader for his family’s NoXcuses Boxing Gym.

The 28-year-old fighter from Upper Marlboro, Maryland has not only brought a world title fight back to his hometown, but he has also opened the door for his family and given them opportunities in the sport. His father, Lamont Roach Sr., serves as his trainer and promoter, and his younger brother, Jordan, will make his professional debut on the same card as Roach Jr. this Friday (June 27) in Washington.

The event will also feature women’s bantamweight contender Rianna Rios, who trains out of the same gym. This is a special moment for the Roach family, as they honor their late mentor “Boogaloo” who laid the foundation for the NoXcuses Boxing Gym, which later became a promotional outfit.

Kosport Magazine’s Take

Kosport Magazine believes that Roach Jr.’s success in and out of the ring is a testament to the hard work and dedication of his entire family. He not only leads by example as a champion, but also as a mentor to his younger brother and teammate Benjamin Johnson. Roach Jr.’s leadership and determination will surely continue to open doors for his family and the NoXcuses Boxing Gym. We wish him the best of luck in his first title defense against Feargal McCrory on Friday, available on the ProBox TV app and YouTube.
