Liam Paro Confident in His Ability to Beat Matias and Claim IBF Title
Liam Paro believes he has what it takes to dethrone IBF light welterweight champion Subriel Matias this Saturday, June 15th. The Australian boxer will face Matias in a highly-anticipated bout, which will be streamed live on DAZN from the Coliseo Juan Aubin Cruz Abreu in Manati, Puerto Rico.
Paro, with a record of 24-0 and 15 knockouts, is coming off two impressive wins over Montana Love and Brock Jarvis. These victories have given him the confidence to take on the highly-touted Matias, who has a record of 20-1 with all of his wins coming by knockout.

It would have been ideal for Paro to test himself against the likes of Hitchins, Gary Antuanne Russell, or Jamaine Ortiz before going after a world title.
In the lead-up to this bout, Paro has been preparing and sparring with top contenders, and he’s feeling more than ready for the challenge. However, he needs to be aware of Matias’ aggressive style and adapt accordingly. Fighting in the champion’s home country will also make it challenging for Paro to secure a decision win, so he may have to look for a knockout to claim the title.
Paro’s victory over Love last December may have won him new fans, but he needs to forget about it and focus on the task at hand. Love was a flawed fighter, and Matias is on a completely different level. Paro must not underestimate his opponent and come up with a solid game plan.
