Opposites Fabio Wardley and Frazer Clarke Finally Attract in Heavyweight Showdown

Fabio Wardley Uses Mind Games Ahead of Fight Against Frazer Clarke

In the world of boxing, mind games are just as important as physical training. And British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion Fabio Wardley knows this all too well. In a recent episode of Sky Sports’ “The Gloves Are Off,” Wardley employed some clever tactics to get under the skin of his upcoming opponent, 2020 Olympic bronze medalist Frazer Clarke.

Wardley, who boasts an impressive record of 17-0 with 16 knockouts, will face off against Clarke (8-0, 6 KOs) this Saturday at London’s O2 Arena. The two have an interesting rivalry, with a previous order for them to fight for the vacant British heavyweight title being withdrawn by promoter Ben Shalom and Clarke’s then-management 258.

But beyond the drama outside the ring, Wardley and Clarke have very different backgrounds. Wardley started his boxing career on the white-collar circuit, facing opponents of varying skill levels. On the other hand, Clarke holds an Olympic medal and has experience fighting against some of the best heavyweights in the amateur ranks, including his compatriot and former amateur teammate Anthony Joshua.

During their heated exchange on “The Gloves Are Off,” Wardley taunted Clarke by saying, “I am expected to lose. The former white-collar fighter is expected to lose to the Olympic bronze medalist.” But Clarke was quick to shut down any talk of past accolades, stating that they are now in the past and that Wardley has only fought eight times as a pro himself.

Wardley, however, turned the tables on Clarke, pointing out that based on his pedigree and experience, Clarke should be the one to beat him. “If you have said I haven’t beat anyone in the pros, along with my four white-collar fights against blokes who were from the pub, while you have been around the world with the ABA [Amateur Boxing Association] – you have boxed all over, done this and that, won a bronze medal – you should beat me,” Wardley said confidently.

But Clarke remained unfazed, stating that he will beat Wardley in the ring. And with the final word, Wardley ominously said, “Everything will crumble behind you.” It’s clear that these two heavyweights have a lot of pent-up aggression and are ready to let it all out in the ring.

Who Will Come Out on Top?

As the fight between Fabio Wardley and Frazer Clarke draws near, the tension between the two only continues to rise. Both fighters have their own strengths and backgrounds, making this an intriguing matchup. Will Wardley’s mind games give him the upper hand, or will Clarke’s amateur experience prove to be too much for the former white-collar fighter? Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure – this is a fight you won’t want to miss. Tune in this Saturday to see who will come out on top in this highly anticipated showdown.
