Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn is determined to ⁢make a unification fight⁢ happen between IBF light welterweight champion Subriel Matias and WBA⁣ champ Isaac ​‘Pitbull’ Cruz this‌ year. In an⁤ exclusive interview with Kosport Magazine, Hearn revealed his plans for this highly anticipated matchup.

Hearn acknowledges ​that there are‍ several obstacles that must be overcome ⁢for the Cruz-Matias fight to become a reality. Matias⁤ (20-1-1, 15 KOs) must ‍first defend his title ⁣against ⁢Liam ‌Paro on June 15th, and a ‌cross-promotion, ​joint-network deal​ with Premier Boxing​ Champions, Amazon, and DAZN‍ must ⁤be put together.
