In the eighth round, Lemos had Hitchins hurt and on the ropes, but Hitchins managed to hold on and survive the round. In the ninth round, Lemos continued to dominate, while Hitchins received no penalty for continuous holding.

The tenth round saw a shift in momentum, with Hitchins scoring with his right to the chin while Lemos focused on body shots. The eleventh round was a back-and-forth affair, with both fighters having their moments. In the final round, Lemos once again took control and landed some powerful shots, but Hitchins managed to hold on until the end.

The judges’ decision was a controversial one, with scores of 117-111, 115-113, and 115-113 in favor of Hitchins, and 117-111 in favor of Lemos. While Hitchins was declared the winner, many felt that Lemos had done enough to earn the victory.

Diego Pacheco Dominates Shawn McCalman in Co-Main Event

In the co-main event, WBC USA and WBO International Super Middleweight champion Diego “C4” Pacheco, 21-0 (17), faced off against “The Amazing” Shawn McCalman, 15-1 (7), in a 10-round bout. In the eighth round, Pacheco knocked out McCalman’s mouthpiece, and in the final round, he did all the fighting while McCalman continued to hold. The judges’ decision was a unanimous one, with scores of 98-92, 97-93, and 96-94 in favor of Pacheco.

Skye Nicolson Wins WBC World Featherweight Title in Dominant Fashion

In a highly anticipated matchup, 2020 Olympian and southpaw Featherweight Skye Nicolson, 10-0 (1), faced off against former IBF Featherweight champion Sarah Mahfoud, 14-2 (3), for the vacant WBC World Featherweight title. Nicolson dominated the fight from start to finish, outworking and outlanding Mahfoud in every round.

In the first three rounds, Nicolson’s superior speed and accuracy were on full display, as she landed punch after punch and effectively used her jab. In the fifth round, Nicolson continued to dominate, landing powerful shots and making Mahfoud grimace with a solid left to the midsection. In the seventh and eighth rounds, Nicolson’s speed and accuracy proved too much for Mahfoud, as she continued to land punch after punch.

In the ninth round, Nicolson once again dominated, and in the final round, she finished with a shutout. The judges’ decision was a unanimous one, with scores of 100-90, 100-90, and 99-91 in favor of Nicolson.

Galal Yafai Stops Agustin Gauto in Eighth Round

In a highly anticipated matchup, 2016 Olympian Gold Medalist and WBC International Flyweight champion southpaw Galal Yafai, 7-0 (5), faced off against former WBO International Light Flyweight champion Agustin “El Avion” Gauto, 21-2 (15), in a scheduled 10-round bout. Yafai dominated the fight from the start, with Gauto unable to handle his speed and power.

In the first three rounds, Yafai dominated, landing powerful shots and making Gauto miss.
