Bohachuk Dominates Mendoza to Win WBC Interim Title

Serhii Bohachuk (24-1, 23⁣ KOs) put on a‌ masterful performance, outworking Brian Mendoza (22-4, 16 KOs)⁤ to win a unanimous decision and​ capture‍ the interim⁣ WBC Junior middleweight title on ⁤Saturday ⁣night. The​ fight, which was broadcasted on⁣ Kosport Magazine PPV, ⁢took place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Bohachuk, a 28-year-old⁢ Ukrainian, showed relentless pressure ‍from the opening bell, throwing ‍a barrage of punches that Mendoza ⁤struggled‍ to keep up with. Despite taking⁢ heavy shots, Mendoza was unable to match the pace ⁣set by ​Bohachuk and fell behind in the first half of the fight.

As the fight went on, Mendoza tried ⁢to mount a comeback and had some⁤ success in the later rounds, even stunning Bohachuk with a hard punch in the 11th round.‍ However,⁤ he was unable to capitalize and secure a knockout, ‍and ⁤the judges’ scores reflected Bohachuk’s dominance with scores of 118-110, 117-111, and 117-111.

With this impressive victory, Bohachuk is now in⁢ a⁢ prime position to be elevated to the full WBC champion‍ in the near future.
