Devin Haney: “I’m Ready to Crush Ryan Garcia and Clean Up at 140lbs”

As the highly anticipated clash between WBC super lightweight champion Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia draws near, the tension between the two fighters continues to escalate. But for Haney, the noise coming from his opponent’s camp is nothing but a distraction.

“I’ve turned off the noise. Ryan can say whatever he wants, but I don’t care,” Haney confidently stated.

Despite the animosity between the two, Haney maintains that this is all just business and not personal. But as the fight approaches, the question of whether it will even happen has been circulating.

“I’m very confident the fight is going to happen,” Haney assured. “We both signed contracts, we’re both training, and I have no doubt that the fight will happen.”

With a record of 31-0 and coming off a decisive win against Regis Prograis, Haney is determined to clean up at 140lbs and become the undisputed champion. When asked about his dream fights, Haney named Gervonta “Tank” Davis, Subriel Matias, and Teofimo Lopez.

“I’m the guy that bullies the bullies. I’m the one who steps up when nobody else wants to,” Haney declared. “I want to make the biggest fights with the best fighters in the world because I truly believe I’m the best. And my resume proves it.”

But there’s one fight that Haney wants to see more than anything, and it’s between Canelo Alvarez and his top challenger David Benavidez at 168lbs. Haney argues that his fight with Garcia is bigger than Canelo’s upcoming fight with Jaime Munguia, as they are both known by casual boxing fans.

“That’s nasty work right there,” Haney said with a smile. “I’m not saying Canelo is ducking him, but I don’t think he’s in a rush to get in the ring with him. He sees easier fights out there, but Canelo has a resume that very few in boxing have.”

While Haney acknowledges Canelo’s impressive resume, he also wants to see the fight that the rest of the boxing world is clamoring for.

“Benavidez is one of the best in the sport right now. He’s on top of his game,” Haney praised. “That’s a fight I would love to see, him and Canelo. There are very few fights in boxing that would actually excite me, but that’s one of them.”

Devin Haney: The Future of Boxing

With his confidence, skill, and determination, Devin Haney is quickly becoming the face of boxing. And as he prepares to take on Ryan Garcia on April 20, he is ready to prove that he is the best in the world.

“I’m not just talking, I’m for real,” Haney declared. “And my resume proves it. I’m the one who steps up and saves the day. And on April 20, I will crush Ryan Garcia and continue my journey to becoming the undisputed champion at 140lbs.”
