The Undercard for Canelo vs. Munguia is Set

The highly anticipated Cinco de Mayo weekend showdown between Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and Jaime Munguia is quickly approaching, and the undercard is starting to take shape. This event, presented by Kosport Magazine, is set to be a night of explosive boxing action.

One of the exciting matchups on the undercard will be between super welterweight contenders Vito Mielnicki and Ronald Cruz. Mielnicki, with a record of 17-1 and 12 knockouts, will face off against Cruz, who holds a record of 19-3-1 with 12 knockouts. This 10-round fight will take place on May 4 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Fans can catch all the action on Prime Video, DAZN, and PPV.com as the Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) presents this pay-per-view event. Mielnicki, at just 21 years old, has become a mainstay on PBC’s PPV cards, with five out of his last seven fights being featured on a PPV event. He is currently riding a nine-fight winning streak, with his only loss being a surprise majority decision in his ninth pro fight.

On the other hand, Cruz, at 32 years old, has not had the same success in his recent fights. With a record of 1-2-1 in his last four contests, he will be looking to bounce back against Mielnicki. His past two losses have come against tough opponents in Xander Zayas and Damian Sosa, but he did manage to get back in the win column with a unanimous decision victory in December.

This undercard matchup is sure to be an exciting one, with both fighters hungry for a win and looking to make a statement on the big stage. Don’t miss out on this explosive fight as part of the Canelo vs. Munguia event.
