Albert Bell Set to Face Jonathan Romero in Hometown Bout

Albert Bell has been patiently waiting for his shot at a world title belt, and that opportunity may come sooner than expected. Bell is set to face Jonathan Romero this Friday at the Class City Center in his hometown of Toledo, Ohio. This 10-round bout will be the main event of a Pulse Boxing card that will be streamed live on TrillerTV at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT.

The 31-year-old Bell, with a perfect record of 25-0 and 8 knockouts, has been on a tear in recent fights, displaying more aggression and power. His last bout saw him stop former contender Jayson Velez in the second round, following a knockout win over Presco Carcosia. Currently ranked No. 9 at 130 pounds by The Ring, Bell will face a tough challenge in Romero, a former world titleholder at 122 pounds.

Romero (35-2, 19 KOs), hailing from Cali, Colombia, lost his last fight by knockout to Abraham Nova, but Bell is not underestimating his opponent. Bell sees this fight as his stepping stone to a world title shot and is determined to make a statement in front of his hometown crowd.

Bell is the No. 1 contender to face WBO junior lightweight titleholder Emanuel Navarrete and is eager for the opportunity to prove himself at the elite level. Whether it’s Navarrete or another top contender, Bell is ready to seize his chance at a world title belt.

As the 130-pound division is stacked with talent, Bell believes he is the best fighter in the division, despite not holding a world title. With his height and southpaw style causing issues for opponents, Bell is confident that he will be the fighter to beat in the division.

With his eyes set on becoming a world champion and unifying the division, Bell is prepared to take on any and all challengers. His determination and skill set make him a formidable force in the super featherweight division, and the boxing world will be watching closely as he looks to make his mark.
